Dowon, a renowned psychoanalyst in the United States, decides to return to Korea to work as a counselor at a government-affiliated research institution. There, he encounters an infamous arsonist known for never leaving any evidence behind. Meanwhile, MJ, a man battling obsessive-compulsive disorder and uncontrollable urges, seeks Dowon’s help in finding a cure for his condition.

Reluctantly, Dowon accepts the secretive and perilous counseling. As time passes, he realizes that the man he believed to be merely an arsonist is, in fact, linked to a significant event known as the “Father” case.
