Summary
“Not So Prince Charming” is a Korean manhwa about Joo Aesang, a hardworking and competent employee who is continually belittled and abused by his boss, Cha Hanseol. Despite his talent and hard effort, Hanseol constantly undermines and criticizes Aesang, who delights in torturing him.
The plot twist occurs when Aesang is assigned an impossible task and is compelled to labor extra hours to fulfill it. This is the last straw for Aesang, who resolves to confront his boss about his treatment of him. The confrontation, however, does not go as planned, and Aesang is sacked from his position.
While looking for new work, Aesang is astonished to learn that his old employer, Hanseol, has been replaced by a new, kind-hearted manager named Kang Yoon. Yoon likes Aesang and gives him a job in the company. Aesang initially rejects the offer because of his bad experience with Hanseol, but later accepts it.
As Aesang begins his new employment, he is drawn to Yoon’s kind and gentle personality, which contrasts sharply with Hanseol’s nasty behavior. However, Aesang’s earlier experiences with Hanseol haunt him, and he finds it difficult to trust his new boss and coworkers.
