Summary
Crossed Lines
First, Hanju is filled with a sense of comfort at seeing Giwon again—the man who has taken him in like family since he was a boy. But this feeling of ease is fleeting. As alcohol loosens his guard, Giwon lets slip something that deeply unsettles Hanju.
“You and I… we slept in the same bed,” he remarks, grinning half-seriously. “In a past life.”
After that night, Giwon’s behavior is different. His touches stay too long; his smiles are brimming with hidden meanings. Hanju, overwrought and confused by emotions he can’t describe, tries to pull away. But when Hanju spurns him, Giwon makes a choice that can change everything between them.
Is it still possible that they can revert to being just uncle and nephew, or have they passed the point of no return?
