Summary
Baek Seunghyun has spent his entire life in the shadows as the loyal second-in-command to yakuza leader Shin Jaeil—a man he has admired for years like a member of his own family. So when the news gets around that Jaeil is marrying, Seunghyun is stunned. Panicked, he runs off from the wedding without explanation.
As luck would have it, that’s exactly when he runs into someone from a life he thought he’d long left behind—Yuta. Ten years have passed since they last saw each other in Japan, but the tension between them sparks in a heartbeat. Yuta, hiding beneath old wounds with sharp words and icy stares, welcomes him with a heart-chilling lack of warmth.
What starts out as an uncomfortable reunion quickly becomes something much more complicated.
Yuta is not just passing through—he has arrived to stay. With every unwanted meeting, memories of the past come flooding back, refusing to stay hidden.
Now, however, when past and present merge, Seunghyun is caught up in a web of loyalty, anger, and a tie which he never quite lost.
